To improve the safety, capacity and resilience of the North Huon Community.
Objectives
- To work collaboratively and respectfully with stakeholders to ensure the roads in the North Huon are maintained in a safe and reasonable condition.
- To work collaboratively with Community, Emergency Services and Council to ensure the North Huon Community is prepared, as far as reasonably practicable, for major events such as fire, flood, extreme weather and their aftermath.
- Using an evidence and research-based approach, work with community, council, state agencies and other stakeholders to ensure the primary and priceless watersheds of the Huon River, Judds Creek and Russell River remain unpolluted and retain their beauty and amenity that are critical to the wellbeing of the Huon Community.
- To develop Community Capacity, resilience, trust, reciprocity and social capital in the North Huon.
